Mining Water Treatment Plant Zimbabwe

About this Project

Blue Steel Water  completed the design and installation of a high-performance water treatment plant for a leading mining operation in Zimbabwe. Built to meet the demanding conditions of the mining industry, the system delivers a consistent flow of 18,000 litres per hour of treated water—supporting everything from mineral processing to equipment cooling.

At the heart of the plant is the LPRO-B412-18000 reverse osmosis unit, equipped with advanced membranes that remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, and other contaminants. Upstream of the RO system, a double filtration stage using DTFS24x72 vessels filled with Activated Filter Media (AFM) provides exceptional removal of suspended solids and organics. A dedicated water softening system further protects infrastructure by reducing hardness and preventing scale buildup.

This project highlights Blue Steel Water’s expertise in delivering large-scale, efficient water treatment solutions tailored to the needs of Zimbabwe’s mining and industrial sectors.
